How to read odds

Betting odds can be displayed in three different formats. The example below shows how all three formats say the same thing for the same event.

Example 1 — betting on Team A to win

Say Team A's odds are 3.00 decimal, 2/1 fractional, +200 American. A ৳200 bet returns ৳600 if Team A wins (৳400 profit + ৳200 original stake). If Team A loses, the full ৳200 is gone.

Example 2 — betting on favourite Team B

Team B is the favourite, so the odds are as low as 1.25 decimal, 1/4 fractional, -400 American (meaning you need to stake ৳400 to win ৳100). A ৳200 bet returns ৳250 if Team B wins (just ৳50 profit). The favourite is more likely to win but the profit is lower.

Multi Bet example

If three selections across three separate matches have odds of 1.50 × 1.60 × 1.70, the combined odds come to roughly 4.08. A ৳100 stake returns ৳408 if all selections are correct. But if any one selection is wrong, the entire ৳100 is lost — the risk in a Multi Bet is much higher.

Live in-play — odds change with every wicket

Live betting in cricket is a different experience altogether. If three quick wickets fall during a powerplay, the batting team's odds of winning go up instantly — meaning a bet on that team at that moment would return more than before. Conversely, when a set batter plays a big innings, the odds come down.
